Dental implants are strong, successful restorations that replace your missing teeth for a lifetime—but only if you take good care of them. If you are one who is not quite sure how to care for your dental implant, we are here to help you! It’s simpler than you might think. All you need to do is:

· Brush: Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and brush your teeth every morning and night. Make sure you use fluoride toothpaste and you brush for about 2 minutes each time. Do your best to thoroughly scrub each tooth, especially the implant.
· Floss: Floss your smile at least once a day with your favorite floss. Make sure you are careful along your gum line as you clean the crevices of your smile. Floss can greatly damage your gums if you aren’t careful, so please do your best to care for your oral tissues as well as your teeth.
· Attend your dental checkups: Your dental checkups are vital when it comes to caring for your smile. Make sure you attend these appointments every 6 months. These visits are important because they help you prevent tooth decay and gum disease and they also give your dentist the chance to fix any problems you might have.

See? Taking care of your dental implant is easy and doable. It’s no different than caring for the other teeth in your smile.
